Snowflake, AZ, Osmer D. Heritage Inn

Osmer D. Heritage Inn and Heritage Antiques & Ice Cream Parlor by Barbara Floyd, Publisher/Editor of The Country Register of Arizona

Joseph Dean Porter, who answers to the name of Dean, and his wife Sandra brought to completion in late spring of 2001 a very big undertaking. He had a dream to open Heritage Inn and also Heritage Antiques & Ice Cream Parlor in Snowflake, Arizona. On the Main Street of the town they have made use of completely restored historical buildings which add a class to this small town that will make it the envy of every small town in Arizona. Northing has been spared in either business to make your experience of them less than grand.

Twelve beautiful rooms await their guests and most of them have private baths. Credit is given to Sandra for the decorating and she has a natural gift. The handsomely coordinated rooms and restoration reflects good taste, simplicity and Sandra's eye for color. Each room is different and each had a personality of their own. Exquisite frames of art work and prints were the crowning touch in each room that pulled all the decor together. Much thought was put into details on window coverings and fabrics used for bed covers, shams and pillows. There were no $49 bed in a bag decor here! Rich, luxurious and set off by the wooden floors make for a grand combination.

The pleasant dining room was also well decorated the the food was delicious. The kitchen is the area of the business that Dean shines in and be it a German Pancake or some other delicacy, Dean is often the chef and will create special dinners by reservation for groups.
