Fruit Dishes
(serves 10)
* 6 egg whites room temperature
* 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
* 1/3 cup sugar
* fresh mixed berries ( a couple of cups)
Whip egg whites to soft peaks. Add cream of tartar and blend for one minute.
Sprinkle sugar over top of the blended mixture and whip until you have stiff
peaks. Dollop mixture on a cookie sheet lined with ungreased parchment
paper. Make a well in the center of the spooned mixture forming a small
well in center. Bake at 250 degrees for two hours. remove and cool.
Gently remove meringue clouds and add fresh berries in the center. Serve
with whip cream or a garnish if you desire.
