Makes a gallon of ice cream
1 quart whipping cream
1 package of instant pudding - any flavor
2+ cups whole milk
1 can condensed milk - like Eagle Brand
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 TBS vanilla flavoring or
1/4 teaspoon of almond flavoring if peach
fresh fruit optional
Mix 2 cups of whipping cream and 1 cup of milk in a blender with the fruit
(optional). Add condensed milk and mix, then add the instant pudding and
sugar. Mix well and scrape the sides of the blender often. Add
flavoring. Pour mixture into freezer and add the rest of the whipping
cream and then milk until you reach the fill line on the freezer. Don't
overfill.
Use lots of salt and ice when making the ice cream. The instant pudding
keeps the ice cream smooth and prevents icing.
