Autumn Fruit Gratin

Fruit Dishes
6 cups coarsely cut fall fruit - (pears & plums; or apples & pears:
1/2 - 3/4 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
2 T granulated sugar
1/4 cup Gran Gala or Grand Marnier
2 slices stale bread
1T butter, cut in small pieces
2 tsp. brown sugar or granulated maple sugar
Using a shallow gratin pan - coarsely cut approximately 6 cups and toss with the
fresh or frozen cranberries;
Add 2 Tbs granulated sugar and the Gran Gala (or Gran Marnier) toss to
coat.
In blender - place 2 slices torn stale
bread (with crusts) with approx. 1 Tsp butter cut in small pieces - and 2 tsp
brown sugar or granulated maple sugar. Pulse until chopped into fine crumbs -
Spread crumbs over the fruit - and bake - approximately 1/2 hour at 400 F.
Remove from oven - let sit approximately 5 minutes - and serve in individual
saucers.
Can be topped with a dollop of French Vanilla yogurt (or if using for a dessert
- top with French Vanilla ice cream or freshly made whipped cream)
